Animacor2009 will host the first fived, the Fair of Innovation, Video Games and Digital Entertainment
The first Fair of Innovation, Video Games and Digital Entertainment, FIVED'09 will be held from October 30th through November 3rd as part of the programming of the 5th International Animation Festival of Córdoba, Animacor'09. Professionals and fans of the digital world will be able to see the latest developments in the sector and will have the opportunity to exchange impressions in a pioneering meeting for the sector. FIVED'09 is an initiative of the County Council Offices of Córdoba and the Provincial Consortium of Economic Development, which has the backing of the Regional Ministry of Innovation, Science and Business of the Andalusian Government.
The IFECO installations will host the over 6000 visitors expected to attend the 1st Fair of Innovation, Video Games and Digital Entertainment, FIVED'09, where they will learn about the latest developments in games and launches on all platforms, and will take part in the official video game tournaments. The video game sector has been undergoing exponential growth and is the first choice in leisure activity over all other kinds audiovisual entertainment.
The possibilities for developing new tools to be applied to digital technology, the consolidation of the companies in the sector, the creation of new formats for communication and the leisure activities or the possibility of opening up new markets are some of the themes that will be debated at the meetings of the professionals attending FIVED'09. Animators, graphic designers, developers, programmers, simulation specialists, creators of virtual worlds, distributors and marketing and communications distributors are expected to attend.
Three areas of activity: Content, Video Games and Gaming & Learning
FIVED'09 will feature several spaces for developing this global fair for the presentation and promotion of the world of video games, such as a Content Area, with a place for PCs in order to hold workshops, tournaments and an area In the Video Game Area, the attendees will have demo video consoles of the latest launches, an area for display booths, video game competitions, and an area for promotional connecting of online services of gaming platforms. And to complement those areas there will be the Gaming and Learning area, with a promotional space for the participating companies, where training will be done through video games and workshops, which will include an area with pre-installed networked consoles.
The FIVED'09 festival will make Córdoba an international meeting point, as it brings together the interests of the leisure and entertainment industry, the cultural industries, public administration and the final user.
